For the price that I paid for this book you think it would have come with the Pearson CD do complete my assignments online through myitlab, but it does not. So this was a waste of my money since now I am going to have to buy that separate. Hopefully this review will let the next person know that this is not the complete purchase that you will need to be successful in your classroom.

It's exactly what you'd expect - odds are if you're looking for the go-to book about your car this is what you'll want.Unfortunately we owned an SRT-4, and it does say right in the description that it's not for the SRT-4, but after failing to find anything anywhere else we went for it anyway. Much of the book still applied, though definitely not all of it.All-in-all no complaints, just wish there was something out there for the SRT-4 when we needed it!

I received the book sooner than I was told I would, so I was able to get reading to fix the problem I was having! I wish the book came in hard cover. In fact, I think it does. The price was way too much for me to pay! It just is a little easier for me to read it. I feel the Chilton's Total Car Care Repair Manual was very helpful for me. The illustrations were very helpful!If I need something in the future, I will be more than happy to utilize Amazon again.

Good book, but would have liked more detail on how to replace the middle motor mount on passenger side. It doesn't tell you not even half of what you're supposed to do to replace it.

It has been invaluable getting a 2001 Neon up and running again. It is a Chilton guide so it's not a factory guide, but is very helpful.

Confessions from a school librarian. My name is Miss Judy. I work in a small Catholic school library. This is my fourth year. Previously, I spent four years in a high school library. I knew what I was doing because I had been a high school English teacher for many years before that and knew how to talk to high school students.But little children and middle school kids? I never had my own personal children, so working with the little ones was really scary at first. And middle school? I had always heard about that age group. And it's all true!!When the principal (also new to the school) showed me the library, I thought: Warehouse. Dingy, dull, no personality, just dusty books on dusty shelves. There are two rooms: the main room housing most of the collection and the smaller, darker, dirtier room with biographies and reference books.The summer I was hired, I sponged the main room sky blue, leaving what resembles sketchy white clouds peering through the blue. I put up posters, brought in plants which struggled through the heat of the poorly working, dripping air-conditioner. I cleaned every single one of the children's picture books. I added bright rugs. It looked better!The next summer I painted the walls of the smaller room a pale pink, added flowery border, put in carpet, painted the cabinets a matching pink and added decorations suitable for children. I moved all the children's books into this room and the references into the main room. I set up a separate VHS tape and DVD library next to the children's books.Then began weeding and automation. After two and one half years, I will finish by May. As I cleaned, repaired, discarded, and properly processed books for automation, I probably discarded 15 boxes of books--worn out, dirty, ripped, yellowed pages, outdated. During all this time, classes continued to come to the library.What I am confessing is that I have struggled to teach meaningful lessons to these children. I have never been happy with anything I have done and feel inadequate. I searched everywhere looking for books and lesson plans, websites. I was not happy with anything I found. I used things from each source, but I wanted something that I could turn to again and again. As an English teacher, my mind never stopped at creating interesting and meaningful lessons, but library stuff? I can't seem to wrap my mind around Dewey and dictionaries and book care and check-out procedures and overdue books and so on.Until yesterday when "Library 101: A Handbook for the School Library Media Specialist" came in the mail. I am agog with joy!There is no need for me to break down the organization of the book. The first reviewer did a thorough job of that. In fact, I bought the book based on that review. I am simply telling my personal story of a floundering librarian who wants to be good before I retire. "Library 101" will be my guide! I am really pumped!

This book is much more realistic than those published by the ALA. It is full of tips that new and old librarians will find both helpful and useful. Aside from the reports about television and radio production, the book's authors seem to have taken in account situations that most librarians will face. The radio/tv scenarios may occur in some schools, but I do not know of one in the entire State of Rhode Island, so I found the info of no use. It was wrong of the authors to write that every librarian will be faced with tv or radio production "sooner or later". Obviously they experienced that, but not all librarians will. Otherwise, this book has many ideas that are very helpful for those in the field. Some are of the type that make one think "why didn't I think of that?" If I were to recommend only one book for a librarian to read & maintain for reference, it would be this.

This book and its information is outdated in most of its content. Some useful nuggets here and there but not worth the price of purchase.Consider nothing on social media, maker space or the latest in technology which are in constant state of flux in the information services sector.

Hated to part with this book now that I am retired. I felt this is a very good reference book and would buy it again if I needed it.

Any time I find a book of Ilse Altherr's, I grab it. She's an almost lyrical writer when it comes to needlework. I own this book as well as 2 of her blackwork books and all are so thorough that if you give them the slightest bit of attention, you can catch on to truly beautiful stitches. Many people confuse pulled thread with drawn thread (including Amazon who will show you titles of both when you plug in either title) and Ms. Altherr explains that drawn thread is when you cut out horizontal threads and weave the ends back into the right-hand and left-hand sides of the stitch area. You then decorate that area which is always a parallelogram by manipulating the vertical threads or adding fibers, ribbons, beads or whatever.Pulled thread, on the other hand, is much more fluid and can be round and elongated. The most common type of pulled thread stitches that we stitchers are familiar with are eyelets. The author deftly illustrates how to pull areas of thread and fill them in in such a lovely variety of ways...it all looks more complicated than it is. Bought this to read to my son before bed. My husband is not Buddhist and was skeptical as to what I was teaching our son (we are raising him to be open minded). Even my husband thought this book was great. It teaches life lessons and has good stories.

Beautiful book!

The illustrations with the stories kept my kids happy and brought about the thoughtful questions and inquisitiveness that I was hoping. It also helped me start the conversations of religion (we are Buddhists) and our cultural background. I enjoyed these stories myself.

A wonderful collection of Aesop like Buddhist stories. The stories are quite short and thus make perfect divisions of read a few stories each night. The pages contain wonderful imagery. The stories themselves employ a playful use of animals to teach dharma. Each story provides a wonderful opportunity to stop and discuss the meaning of the story.

...this book contains timeless of stories of universal values. The stories will be familiar to all, and they resonate with children. Sure, they could read another mass-market product promoting book, or they can read something of substance with lessons and an ethical/moral framework that is entertaining yet still not preachy.

I bought this to read at night with my 3 year old.After a few reads I've found him picking up the book himself to look at the pictures and ask me questions about the stories.It's short enough to read read all the way through, but we'll typically read just one or two of the stories at a time and talk about them.The pictures are well done and very helpful for a little one in keeping their attention and helping illustrate the action.Highlighy recommended and glad we got it!

I bought this book to read with my 8 yr old son at bedtime. The book is very well written with the language being both accessible and engaging for young children. My son also loved the illustrations which have a wonderful clarity and warmth. Each Jataka we read gave us a great opportunity to talk about kindness, fear, greed and the other myriad feelings we have every day. Best of all, after we finished the book my son went back and read it again himself. Which is a big deal for him since he usually goes for Captain Underpants before anything else.

Satan would have us defeated and neutralized...curled up in the fetal position under the covers...I have definitely walked around looking alive but dead inside! But God has a bigger story and Romans 8:28 is a sure promise. This book shows how people cope through faith and can not only survive but thrive.Gave the book to one person.... husband got diagnosed with stage 4 cancer...right when they were downsizing, enjoying having both kids launched and gainfully employed ,perfect time to enjoy traveling to visit friends, doing ministry they have been involved in etc...poof goes the future...now they are at cancer appointments all day 1-3 days a week!Other people with smart, beautiful child 4.0 student suddenly had brain bleed, stroke, speech therapy, difficulty reading and comprehending now struggling to finish college at all. having seizures...definitely rewriting theirs plans and expectations for her...Was thinking of getting the book for another person ...she and husband getting ready to retire in a few years and enjoy life...spend more time at their vacation condo ...when he drops dead on vacation! So much for fun retirement plans!!Got the book for someone whose wife unexpectedly shot herself apparently severely depressed...she miraculously survived but continuing physical and mental problems.Only God promises to Restore all the locusts have eaten...and has the power to back up that promise! This book is a great encouragement.

Carol expresses genuinely the emotions of a mother's heart as she recounts her journey alongside her son who has commuted murder.I could not put this book down. My heart has been broken by a child in trouble and it was nice to finally read words from another Christian momma that wasn't reciting "churchy cliches". Reading this book has challenged me and encouraged me and leaves me desperate to know God.I am also moved to write to someone I know who is in jail & estranged from her family-----my daughter.

I had the honor of hearing Carol speak in person and then decided to purchase this book. I am so thankful I did. I love the real, raw, transparency of this book. So many suffering Christians are just told to pray, fast, decree, and deny they are hurting. What we deny does not heal. Life presents us with hard challenges, being real about them not only helps us heal and cope-it helps others heal and cope. I highly recommend thus book.

Having served as a volunteer prison chaplain for over thirteen years, I highly recommend this book. I recommend it not only for those with loved ones in prison but for anyone going through what seems to be impossible circumstances. In short, one powerful book.

We all have expectations on how our life will go, how long suffering will last and how we think God should supply our answers to prayer and the time frame in which we expect it to take place. Then life in a fallen world happens. And agony threatens to unravel us and the duration seems unbearable. What if we don't get the resolve we expect? Our ideal has unknowingly become our idol...the Isaac of our heart that we must lay down. God's grace is sufficient. Will you still praise Him. I like the support system of the body of Christ that gave them aid. I like how they kept running to God even when things didn't work out in their favor. Also good dialog at the end of chapters to make you think through and apply...

This was a great but sad story. Even though JP was guilty I still kept hoping for him to be released! Thank God he is using Jason to minister to the inmates!

This was an excellent book. As a christian mom it is difficult to watch the choices your children make and walk through the consequenses those choices have on everyone. This book will give you insight on how to draw borders with your children but also how to stay focused on God and His plan in each situation. He is amazing and can bring good and glorify Himself in each situation as we remain connected to Him.

On September 14, 2018 my 21 year old son was sentenced to life in prison for murder in SC. As a pastor of a church who was trusting God for a different outcome and leaving the pulpit for a month I found much hope and inspiration from Carol's transparency. I am back in the pulpit choosing hope. I thank God for your willingness to show us your scars.

This book should be studied in school around age 9-11! Relationships cause a huge pain in our lives and no one taught us any of that stuff!The author’s ideas are a bit ideal nowadays with everyone running for quick fix and rushing into physical, so I’m not sure it would work especially with on line dating for busy people over 40!But I did learn a lot about the dynamics between a man and a woman.Being a strong powerful woman I tend to chase the man out of control and big ego, so end up looking desperate and him running away! This book helped me learn how to act more feminine in the right way..Not that I haven’t read the same ideas over and over in other books and programs, but Dr.Gray put it out in a simple clear concrete way.. good especially for someone who is concrete like me!I gave 4 stars only because I felt there was a lot of repetition over and over again, trying to make more pages I thought..I do recommend this book to everyone before even starting to date, it helps anyone in relationship or married, but probably you can use his other books, and will definitely give it to my kids to read!

I've always admired John Gray and believed that men and women truly are from different planets. My husband and I don't communicate well, about much of anything. We hit a crossroads in our marriage and I knew we had to do something or there wouldn't be another anniversary to celebrate. So I bought Mars and Venus in the Bedroom. OMG! Dr. Gray might has written this book for my husband and I! The stories, the suggestions, the ideas.....all hit home. AND it's working. I would HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone that needs a little pick-me-up in their marriage, something to get you started. I was ready to give up and get out, but this book made both of us realize that we CAN learn to communicate, we can grow closer and we can enjoy all the intimacy that we once had. Thank you Dr. Gray!

Thank you, again, John Gray, for teaching me so kindly what makes me different and unique and perfectly normal! This guidebook for navigating the dating experience is a must-have in my opinion. In it, John Gray lays out the five stages of a relationship's natural progression [to marriage], what each stage looks like, how to show up in each of those stages whether you're a man or a woman, and how you and the relationship evolve through the stages. It has proven incredibly accurate for me and my own experiences and I'm already going through it for the second time.

I only wish I’d read this book a long time ago. It would’ve saved me from making many mistakes. I wish more people would read books like this because dating would be so much easier for everyone if we all had this knowledge. I’ve read 3 of John’s books and this one was my favorite. I’m grateful for the new standards this book has helped me create for dating.

We had lost connection in our marriage. Sex became something that was routine and did not increase our dedication to each other. This book helped me better understand the difference between how men and women express and feel love. It is not a "how to" book on sex. It is a study of a connection that can easily be lost in a marriage. I will definitely read this more than once and will hold on to it in case a space comes between us again in the future.

John Gray is awesome. This book is helpful at whatever stage of dating you're in. Gray says that you cannot make someone love you more, but you can create a situation where it's possible to discover the love that could be there or is there. A lot of this knowledge just makes things smoother, and makes some things that could be turned into misunderstandings less unnecessarily painful and damaging to an emerging relationship.

LOL No, really, it was helpful to know what he was thinking during that time when it is hard to ask a man what he is thinking, as you are getting to know him. I highly recommend this book to help someone make it though the dating process.

Excellent information. I found some of it a little repetitive, but Dr. Gray really does do an amazing job of explaining how men and women are so different. I think this is really good information for anyone who has ever just been totally perplexed by why a date they thought went great never amounted to anything :) The different stages really made sense to me. And I understood why skipping through some is not productive to a longterm relationship in the end. Great information for single AND married people.
